Oxford Mondial Jacket with advanced technical features: “The textile game changer” – RiDE Magazine
When you’re checking out the spec for the Mondial motorcycle jacket, you’ll be forgiven if it crosses your mind that ‘surely this is too good to be true?!’. We thought that too when we were first presented with this traditional touring style jacket. The stand out feature: It’s a waterproof laminate.
• Technically advanced touring motorcycle jacket at a great price
• Laminate waterproofing with removable thermal liner
• Direct ventilation for improved comfort
• CE armour at shoulders & elbows with pocket for back protector
• RiDE Recommended: “Not a single drop of water got through to the wearer”
Why does laminate matter?
Laminate waterproofs used to be reserved for only the wealthiest of motorcyclists as the technology was originally only used by Gore-Tex and the manufacturing process was expensive. Now the same technique is being used by big name manufacturers at a more accessible price point. The outer material layer and waterproof membrane are bonded together. What this means to you is that you stay dry without soaking through the outer layer and the jacket becoming heavy. The jacket is much lighter weight and getting caught out in a down pour no longer means having to put on a cold, wet jacket later on in the day.
Why buy the Oxford Mondial motorbike jacket?
If you’re looking for a reliable jacket which will see you through winter riding then this is for you. Oxford have incorporated technical features which go way beyond what this price point normally delivers.
